Our Team Members love being in the garden. They're passionate about all things horticultural and individually are award winning botanical experts, trained plant scientists, machinery experts and horticulture certified. You can expect genuine, real people who love to get their hands dirty!
An award-winning flower grower, breeder and enthusiast, Peter is horticulturally trained with a Degree in Plant Science. He is continuing his tertiary studies to build on his knowledge of all things botanical. Peter helps guide the team with expert advice and direction on plant selection, plant disease and seasonal cut back times as well as liaising with clients on what plant species suit specific soils and locations.
Our client internal spaces wouldn’t be the same if not for Michelle's regular work, she is our indoor and Green wall plant specialist. Michelle has a Cert 3 in Horticulture from TAFE Queensland and is an avid “Tik-Toker” with informative and entertaining content on plant issues in the garden. Michelle is adept at striking and potting nearly any plant and actively engages with our clients to help them get the best out of the plants in their environments.
Tony is our longest serving staff member with over 10 years of experience in the business. Tony drives the mowing and detailing team (pun intended!), and is industry certified for chemical spray applications. Tony keeps our equipment running with regular maintenance and inspections.
Our youngest team member, Brendon is passionate about all things in horticulture. He has already obtained a cert 2 and cert 3 in horticulture from TAFE Queensland and is currently studying a Bachelor of Plant Science. Brendon's hobby is performing the art of Bonsai, and is an avid Bonsai club member, often attending and showing his Bonsai trees in events. He is our most fastidious hedger when on the job at our client sites.
Zac is a dab hand and fine control and operation of the Walker ride on mowers. Zac is part of our mowing and detailing team and is industry certified for chemical spray applications. Zac provides feedback on ongoing requirements he may find at your site.
Marcos is our newest team member who brings a wide range of previous experience applicable to the role. He holds numerous licenses across forklift, bobcat, heavy truck and has shown a quick uptake of use of all the equipment we use on client sites. He has integrated well into the team and is well on his way in forging a career in our ever-expanding business.

Torrington Horticulture has been trading in Toowoomba for over 40 years and has evolved its product offering over the years - with activities ranging from Nursery, plant supply to landscape design and garden maintenance. Torrington Horticulture has you covered for all things Garden Maintenance and Horticultural.
We certainly do! We carry insurance cover - $20 million public liability and indemnity cover as well as mandatory Workcover insurance.
Torrington is certified and assessed for the industry leading CM3 compliance system. Aside from most staff carrying certificates in Horticulture, our individual staff are certified for Chemical spraying, chainsaw use and various machinery licensing.
We do, but with a caveat. We prefer regular scheduled maintenance arrangements, rather than 1 off engagements. Our team specialise in getting to know you and your garden throughout the seasons, and how best to look ensure the best outcomes for you both! 🙂
